Hilltop, the home of Mavis and Peter Hanson, lies in a quiet residential cul-de-sac on the western side of Bury St.Edmunds. There is room to park off the road if you come in a car if you come in a car, but guests can be met from coach or train station. As one of the few guests houses recommended en the Lonely Planet Guide for Britain in this part of the country you will be sure of a memorable stay. Mavis provides a hearty breakfast as a good beginning to the day, also an evening meal for those who prefer not to dine out.
Our accommodation is comfortable, a single room and a twin room upstairs sharing the family bathroom, and a family room, with a double bed and a single bed on the ground floor with a showeroom and toilet attached. This room has a patio door into the garden, where there is room to sit and relax after the day, either working or on holiday. All the rooms have a colour television, kettle and tea / coffee makings and duvets on the beds.
We welcome our guests to share our comfortable lounge and hope they will feel at home.
Bury St Edmunds is located on the main A14 making it an ideal stopping place for travellers from the continent as it is only 60 miles from Harwich. Many visitors come to Bury St Edmunds as it is in the centre of the beautiful area of East Anglia and as such serves as an ideal base from which to tour.
There is a good Tourist Information Centre on the Angel Hill.

- Bed & Breakfast GBP 25.00 to GBP 35.00 per person. per night.
- Evening meal GBP 7.00 per person.

HILLTOP is on the west side of town. Directions from A14 as follows:
Take the exit from the A14 signed “Bury St Edmunds West”. Follow the road to WESTLEY VILLAGE, go through the village and at the crossroadsbottom of the hill turn left, signed Bury St Edmunds, take the first turning, this is FLEMYNG Road. Take the first right into STARRE Road and then left into BRONYON Close. Number 22 is almost at the end of the close on the right. GoogleMaps
